Based on the Secweb objective for engaging with the data collection fisheries network a stakeholder database has been created and is now available on our website.
This tool provides information about registered stakeholders, including contact details, background and interests. The objective is to improve communication within the network by ensuring effective interaction with and among members.
To make it easy for anyone to use the database a simple data entry form has been enabled as well as a video guide and a user manual. Data privacy and confidentiality have been taken into account to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. For this reason, the registry settings offer stakeholders the option to manage the visibility of their information.
The creation of the stakeholder database was undertaken by Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (ILVO). The SECWEB project team worked closely with RCGs and ISSGs to identify relevant stakeholders and contribute to the database design and structure. From now on, the RCGs’ secretariat will work to encourage the database feeding and its use by the network.
In conclusion, the stakeholder database provides a platform for collaboration and consultation that enables the network interactions.
