The SECWEB 2.0 project proposes a significant evolution in the services delivered by the Secretariat of the Regional Coordination Groups (RCGs). Through this initiative, the RCGs will benefit from a set of advanced ICT tools that will contribute to optimise their operational and communication processes. SECWEB 2.0 seeks to reinforce the RCGs’ capacity to share knowledge, to facilitate collaboration and interactions among their members, and therefore enhance regional coordination within the DCF.
Specific Objectives
- Addressing the needs and requests of the RCGs network, expanding the functions and services delivered by the Secretariat through the website and other online facilities, thereby improving user experience.
- Enhancing the effectiveness of the RCGs’ Stakeholders Database, offering real-time stakeholder record updates, simplified registration and confirmation for meetings or events, and the ability to gather feedback by directly implementing consultation processes.
- Developing a new tool for the management and follow-up of regular interaction processes among stakeholders in the RCGs network, including consultations, decisions, and general communication among members.
Expected results
Overall, SECWEB 2.0 is expected to provide an improved virtual space for interaction and information exchange that serves as a one stop-shop for the RCGs community and facilitates the network management, while improving the visibility of the intersessional work carried out throughout the year.
SECWEB 2.0 IT tools Questionnaire
To ensure that SECWEB 2.0 accurately reflects the needs and priorities of the RCGs community, we invite all RCGs members to participate in a questionnaire aimed at refining the scope and ambition of the ICT tools and services under development. To participate, please follow this link to the questionnaire.
The questionnaire will remain open until 30th November 2024.
SECWEB 2.0 project is co-funded by CINEA under the call Improving scientific knowledge to strengthen the science-basis of management decisions under the Common Fisheries Policy (EMFAF-2023-PIA-FisheriesScientificAdvice).
